After a wonderfully entertaining performance of BITP, my friend and I had the pleasure of taking photographs with him by the stage door. I could not believe I was standing right next to him, and he had his arm around me, after so much time and anticipation.

Even his little chat from the stage requesting donations for a favorite cause was funny and charming . He truly is very down to earth. And the marvelous surprise of him popping into the restaurant during our dinner, was just unbelievable!

My friend who kind of liked him, before our meeting is now a true fan for life! And she pretty much summed up my feelings when she said he was an "absolute doll"!  He puts up with our silly fan girl antics, and truly does not understand what all the fuss is about. He is just as sweet and nice as everybody says. And his lovely wife is just as nice, and graciously shared her hubby with us. It is an experience not to be missed by any true fan. I will treasure my picture and my memories.

Thank you again, Patrick & Dag.

Wow, how can you put into words something that you have only dreamed of, especially when it far surpasses anything that you have imagined. That is what I have been trying to do for a week since I returned from New York.  My main goal was to be able to say something intelligent to Patrick when I got the chance to meet him at the stage door.  I met that goal on Thursday night when we went down there to meet him and have him sign things that would be difficult to bring on both Friday and Saturday.  I was completely taken back by his generosity and patience when he came out and began to sign autographs for all the people waiting by the barricades.  He took the time to talk and sign with every person, while most of his cast mates would come out and sign a few and then off they went.  This same generosity, he had with everyone at the stage door, is the same generosity he had with us when he and Dagmara showed up at the restaurant.  It was a special gesture that neither of them had to do, but they both went out of their way to come to the restaurant and talk with all of us.  It’s a time that we all experienced and a time that we won’t soon forget.  As a fan you always wish that the artist, that you are following you, notices and acknowledges your affections, but you can never dream that it would feel as special as this weekend felt to all of us.  I thank both Patrick and Dagmara for making us feel so important, that they would take time out the their long day to come spend time with us.  I thank you Erin for developing this web page that allows all of us to share our love and appreciation for Patrick and his work, and I thank my new friends whom all of this would not have been as special if I was by myself.

My trip to NYC was incredible! Not only did I meet magnificent friends and see amazing shows, I met an extraordinary couple with hearts of gold!

What a treat when Erin arrived at dinner! Then there was a note from Patrick and Dag. (They KNOW we EXIST!!!) When our attention was called again, I turned and saw them! I jumped slightly; the water in my glass now in my LAP! Standing back; I was the "watcher" and others, the "doers"! HA!!! Dagmara looked radiant!  I found an occasion to converse with her. She's so nice and accommodating!

“Barefoot” was delightful! I was so close I could've propped myself on the edge of the stage! Patrick was brilliant in his role! His face was soooo expressive and his emotions really came through! (As ALWAYS!!!)

When Patrick came out the stage door, I found myself backing away! Thank you, Xandl, for pushing me forward!  He asked my name for signing my playbill and stood to take a picture. I commented that sometimes I blink. He said to check it; we could always take another. I turned the red-eye on and ended up with a picture I will treasure!

After Patrick made the rounds; they allowed us a group photo! We were able to get Dagmara in one; after which she took several of our cameras and took pictures FOR us!!!

The only regret I have is not getting a photo of me WITH Patrick and Dagmara together! They are truly special! They made my escape from reality an experience of a LIFETIME and I am forever grateful to them both!

Thank you!

On May 21st, I saw Barefoot in the Park for the second time. The first
time, I was very lucky to get the opportunity to get a picture with
Patrick and have him sign my Playbill, but I was so amazed that he was
actually standing a few feet away from me, I never said anything to him
so I knew I had to go back. The second time, I brought my PWOCD shirt
that I had just bought from The Lair. While I was waiting for him to
come out of the stage door, my knees were shaking and I was sooo
nervous. When he came out he took turns to sign anything anyone wanted
him to sign. (He was definitely the nicest one in the cast when it came
to signing autographs.) When he came over to the side I was standing
on, my shaking hand somehow managed to hand him the shirt. It was
folded and the only part you could see was the "Patrick Wilson Obses.."
on the top of the shirt and he was like "wait a minute.. what's this!?"
he unfolded the shirt and held it up to read it. Then he signed it
saying "Sara, I hope you get cured." and then he put his name and the
date. I WAS IN A STATE OF SHOCK. I was like - no way did he really just
do that!!?? It was the best night of my life and Patrick is the nicest
 and sweetest guy EVER!
